  We endured over a month of evaluating three well-regarded flooring firms who specialize in restoring and refinishing hardwood floors in older homes. After an experience with a firm who had told us that our floors were beyond repair and required replacement, we found Jason Brown Wood Floors. Jason visited our home and was clear that his team would be able to salvage the 91 year old oak and heart pine floors and inlay. This was our first experience with floor refinishing as new homeowners and as our floors were one of the things that we love most about our bungalow home, it was hard for us to imagine how amazing they could be when they were done. We had to trust Jason's team and we were well rewarded for that trust, the end result could not have been better. The crew that arrived at our home entertained all of our questions, outlined exactly what the process was and invited us over to see the floors once they were sanded so we could see a sample area stained versus natural with just oil-based polyurethane. This crew worked hard and the project was completed two days earlier than anticipated. In terms of price, as we had received estimates from two other firms, the cost was in line with competitors but I'm certain now that we made the correct choice with Jason Brown Wood Floors as they take pride in their work of restoring the character of older homes.
